INTRODUCING WOMEN OF PURPOSE INTERNATIONAL NETWORK

WELCOME TO WOPIN

OUR HISTORY
Women of Purpose International Network was started in 1999 by Rev Stella Ebegbuna. The Lord Jesus put a vision in the heart of Rev Stella Ebegbuna to elevate and encourage women to move into His purpose for their lives. The first meeting of Women of Purpose was held in Lagos, Nigeria in March 1999.
The name of the ministry was changed to Women of Purpose International Network 2006 due to the fact that other women ministries are now known by the former name.
WHO IS REV STELLA EBEGBUNA

Born in Lagos, Nigeria in a predominantly moslem home. She was the first believer in her family and through persecution she learnt how to walk with God. With over 20 years experience in full time Christian Service; Rev Stella Ebegbuna is a seasoned handmaiden of the Lord Jesus. Called by the Lord to prepare the bride of Christ and gather in the final harvest she is always happy to network with other servants of God. She is a spiritual warrior who has chosen to walk with Jesus no matter what it will cost. Happily married to Rev John Ebegbuna they are continously looking for means of fulfilling the great commission.

WHO IS A WOMAN OF PURPOSE?
A Woman of Purpose is a woman who has relationship with Jesus and through this relationship she is able to find her true identity and self worth. A Woman who because of who she is, is committed to her God given mandate.
The name of the ministry is taken from the story of Esther (Esther 4:14) ".....and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?" Esther was a Jewess (God's Child) in a strange land, she got to the highest position obtainable to a woman in her days(married to the King of Babylon), a woman of prayer and action who was ready to risk all to fulfill God given goal and objective. She allowed herself to be used of the Lord to turn around the captivity of His people.

Why a ministry to Women?
Why women? In Acts 2:17-18 "And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams: And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:" The Holy Spirit has been poured out on all flesh (both men and women) for service.
Women need the gospel: Women account for about half of the world's population and they need to hear the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Women have Unique problems: Women of all nations have spiritual, physical and emotional needs. Most of their needs are quite different
from those of men. Women need to know that that there is solution to their needs in Christ.
Women need to grow spiritually: Women need to be discipled and encouraged to have a solid walk with Jesus.
Women have a special place in God's end time plan: The Lord has prepared a special work for work for women to fulfill and this is the hour to fulfill it.
